CITISWICH leads Western Corridor industrial land boom
Ipswich City Council has given the go-ahead for construction of stage one of Walker Corporation’s 335 hectare CITISWICH Industrial Estate, one of the most significant industrial developments in the SEQ Western Corridor region. The first land in the $1 billion industrial hub will be available from July, placing CITISWICH at the forefront of industrial development in the booming Western Corridor. Lots in the 50 hectare first stage range from 4000 sqm to 12 hectares, and are available for purchase, lease or purpose-built turnkey projects. Prices start from around $250 per sqm for purchase and $90-100 per sqm for lease. Strong demand for the estate is already evident with over 20 percent of the first stage already committed to companies from logistics, construction, fabrication and storage industries. CITISWICH is situated 22 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and eight kilometers from Ipswich on the junction of the Warrego and Cunningham highways. The site has exceptional access to the national highway network which will only improve with $5.5billion worth of major new transport infrastructure, promised by state and federal governments that will directly benefit the site. CITISWICH will help facilitate the economic and industrial expansion of South East Queensland by attracting new industry and business into the region and creating over 5,000 jobs. CITISWICH is another milestone project of successful developer Walker Corporation, one of the major players in Australian industrial development for over 20 years. Return to News Index |
