Two more make the switch
ANOTHER two major companies have staked their claim in Walker Corporation's $1 billion Citiswich Business Park at Ipswich. Global pump and valve maker KSB and Caltex Australia yesterday revealed plans to move into the industrial estate. They will join API, The Reject Shop, Capral Aluminium, Australian Hardboards, Hume Masterpanel and Australian Wood Panels. Both KSB and Caltex have bought parcels of land in the estate and will start building facilities by March. Citiswich sites are marketed for about $250/sq m. KSB is relocating from Sumner Park. It plans to build a 2000sq m facility on a 7791sq m site to accommodate its operations and future expansion. Caltex has secured a 3000sq m site for a new unmanned diesel stop at the estate. The investment comes as Caltex wraps up a similar facility in Brisbane's north at Zillmere. Walker Corporation national industrial manager Michael Sutherland said both companies would be major assets to the local business community and would benefit development of the estate. ``Citiswich is now really building momentum,'' he said. The Citiswich estate, previously Bremer Business Park, is on a 335ha parcel of land at the junction of the Ipswich Motorway and the Warrego and Cunningham highways, about 8km from Ipswich.
