WALKER CORPORATION welcomes new CALTEX DIESLEL STOP today in IPSWICH

02/08/2010

Walker Corporation today celebrated the official opening of the brand new Caltex diesel stop at their $1bn Citiswich Business Park.

The new diesel stop is the first of its kind at the business park and is now fully operational and open for business.

Ralph Gehrman, Citiswich Project Director, said that it is invaluable to have an asset such as the new Caltex diesel stop at Citiswich.

"The position of Citiswich on the junction of three national highways makes it an important and popular transport and logistics destination – and a logical destination for a Diesel Stop. This new facility will provide exceptional convenience for tenants, operators and surrounding industry within Ipswich by providing a new, faster way for truck drivers to fill their tanks."

Vehicles can be filled in 5 minutes at the new diesel stop, rather than 15 minutes at a service station utilized by car-driving consumers. Drivers simply swipe a card and tanks on both sides of the vehicle can be filled simultaneously.

This new service centre will give drivers the ease of filling up their trucks without the hassle of having to go to retail service stations. The new diesel stop will save both truck drivers, and car drivers time by creating a dedicated and more efficient system for filling up these large vehicles.

"We're excited to welcome Caltex to our estate with this important service," he added.

Caltex joins API, The Reject Shop, KSB, Thoroughclean, Capral Aluminium, Hume Masterpanel, Australian Wood Panels, and Australian Hardboards at the estate. Over 200,000sqm of space has been committed to the estate with a further 200,000sqm under negotiation.

CITISWICH Business Park is the largest industrial project under development in Queensland, and will provide over 5,000 jobs for the growing Ipswich region upon completion.
